Smocking Guild Christmas Fashion Show

This is the outfit I made for Abby to wear in the Guild Fashion Show this year.  I have not felt like sewing for a while.  Make up artistry has been my latest obsession.  Abby loves to go though ao I whipped this up in 30 minutes, recycling old outfits! I will post some pictures about how I did it later.  Reese went to a birthday party, so it was just me and Abby.  We had a wonderful time at the neatest house.  It was fun, delicious and festive.

Lake Life

The girls had the opportunity to go to the Lake for the first time recently for a friend's birthday.  They loved it! We all had a great time.
Paddle boarding was the hit of the day.  We may need one of those. :)

Of course Abby always bonds with the boy in the crowd.  She had a ball hanging out with this cutie.

Double Digits!

This girlie turned 10 a few weeks ago.  I can't believe she is in the double digits.

For her birthday she took some friends to the movies and then they slept over.  It went well, pretty drama free as far as slumber parties go.  There was a Clemson game that day, as you can probably see. :)

Happy 8th to Reese!

Last week Reese turned 8.  She had a Monster High slumber party, for which I missed all of the great moments.  There was no card in my camera.  That was a serious bummer to discover, I even missed her blowing the candles out and playing pin the bow on the skull.  I know, children's parties keep getting stranger.
Well, I did do lot's of crafty things and home made decorations. (this shirt glows in the dark)I was able to capture a few of those things once I realized the error of my ways.  She had a great time and loved all of the ghoulish fun.

On Sunday we had a family cookout and my sister was nice enough to get Reese a cake, so I did get this picture of her blowing pretend candles out.  :)

Cousin fun ;)

First Day of 3rd and 4th Grades

These are some grown up girls! I was up sewing these dresses the night before, and they really liked how they turned out.  Kane was worried that Abby would get made fun of in her dress but it went well and she really loved it.  I love how you can see their different personalities in the outfits.  Abby looks taller in this picture but actually Reese is 1/2 inch taller, maybe Abby stood on her toes. :)

I smocked this back in February during the ice storms. The monogram and flower designs are both designed by my friend Frances Jones.  I love how it turned out.  I actually bought this purple gingham when Abby was four, that was her favorite color back then.  I was going to make a bishop out of it, so that was lucky and now five years later its only enough fabric for a sundress!

 Full length!
