Sewing Room Accessory Basket

Every year my smocking guild puts together raffle baskets to raise money and this year my friend Kelly and I had a great time sewing and putting this basket together.  To be honest I haven't been sewing much and there is nothing like signing up for something with a deadline to make you hit that power button!
We decided to make our basket themed around ironing, which is an important part of successful sewing projects!  I had this great Alexander Henry sewing theme fabric in my stash and we started with that.

These are in the hoop zipper pouches by Pickle Pie Designs.  They are so much fun to sew!

Iron Board Caddy with thread catcher and pin cushion

 The cover is included!

I have to confess....I wanted to keep it. ;)

Zoo Visit

They're almost too big to look cute in a pony picture. :( I wish they would stop growing!!!

This is a terrible picture but Reese got head butted by this cow a few times.  I think it was trying to nuzzle.  Slammed her head into the fence!  She is a trooper though.

Reese in particular loves to pet animals.  I have to drag her away from the petting zoo portion.
Mimi gave the girls these cute hats for Easter.  They are for our beach trip this Summer but they couldn't wait to wear them!

Playing Tourist

In July, the girls and I spent a day with Granny exploring Charleston.  Somehow, I never added any words or published this post! It was a fun day and I had a ball taking pictures.

First time on a cobblestone street...
Rainbow Row...
Rickshaw Rides....

Elephant Costume for Class Play

I found some inspiration on Pinterest for this project.  I was very happy with how it turned out but Reese didn't like the mask or ears.  They annoyed her and flopped in her face.  So, during the play she kept playing with them and wasn't wearing them for her ONE line. C'est la vie....
