Lake Life

The girls had the opportunity to go to the Lake for the first time recently for a friend's birthday.  They loved it! We all had a great time.
Paddle boarding was the hit of the day.  We may need one of those. :)

Of course Abby always bonds with the boy in the crowd.  She had a ball hanging out with this cutie.

Double Digits!

This girlie turned 10 a few weeks ago.  I can't believe she is in the double digits.

For her birthday she took some friends to the movies and then they slept over.  It went well, pretty drama free as far as slumber parties go.  There was a Clemson game that day, as you can probably see. :)

Happy 8th to Reese!

Last week Reese turned 8.  She had a Monster High slumber party, for which I missed all of the great moments.  There was no card in my camera.  That was a serious bummer to discover, I even missed her blowing the candles out and playing pin the bow on the skull.  I know, children's parties keep getting stranger.
Well, I did do lot's of crafty things and home made decorations. (this shirt glows in the dark)I was able to capture a few of those things once I realized the error of my ways.  She had a great time and loved all of the ghoulish fun.

On Sunday we had a family cookout and my sister was nice enough to get Reese a cake, so I did get this picture of her blowing pretend candles out.  :)

Cousin fun ;)

First Day of 3rd and 4th Grades

These are some grown up girls! I was up sewing these dresses the night before, and they really liked how they turned out.  Kane was worried that Abby would get made fun of in her dress but it went well and she really loved it.  I love how you can see their different personalities in the outfits.  Abby looks taller in this picture but actually Reese is 1/2 inch taller, maybe Abby stood on her toes. :)

I smocked this back in February during the ice storms. The monogram and flower designs are both designed by my friend Frances Jones.  I love how it turned out.  I actually bought this purple gingham when Abby was four, that was her favorite color back then.  I was going to make a bishop out of it, so that was lucky and now five years later its only enough fabric for a sundress!

 Full length!

Finished with Braces, Round One

This girl got her braces off after a year and a half.  She was too excited and decided to throw herself a party.  Abby always loves a celebration and any excuse to hang streamers all over my house.  She and Reese even dressed up in costumes.  It was a fun evening.  She is thrilled to be brace free and I am thrilled with her beautiful smile.

This is her cute orthodontist.  If you are in the Charleston are I couldn't recommend Reagin Orthodontics any more.  They are great to work with.  I can't say enough good things about them, go see it for yourself!

Cheer Camp 2014

Abby is on "B team" this year so she has a new different uniform and a serious routine.  She gets to cheer on the field this year for the B team football team on Thursday nights through half-time while the Senior Cubs like Reese cheer in the bleachers during the first quarter of the Varsity game on Friday nights. I am going to be using a ton of gas back and forth to school this year I think...
From last year to this year! What a difference, look how tall Reese is! And how straight Abby's teeth are, braces come off on Monday!

My girls have really gotten into the habit of smiling for the camera. Sometimes they focus so much that they aren't paying attention to what they are doing!
Reese really got into this cheer game, its a silly cheer about a turkey.  The ones in the middle say it first and the outside circle repeats.  I can see she was in her element here.

Never thought of my tiny Abby as a base!  She is a trooper although she says this hurts her leg.
