What an absolutely busy weekend! I'm sort of glad its over, aren't weekends supposed to be restful? We played hard this weekend. First Reese got this "new to her" car, but this was actually the only time Abby would let her near it. Abby loves it, I wish they had these made for two...I guess that would be a wagon. Maybe we'll get one of those next.

This is our friend Lily Kate, she turned 1 this week. Her party was way fun! While we were there, we played hard at Wanamaker park. It was crazy, several playgrounds and a HUGE slide that Abby went straight to, but would not go down a second time. Reese had her first cupcake, well the icing anyway. She loved it of course.

Here are my precious girls at naptime. The genius I am, I tried to take their picture after church for my new blog header (coming soon!) I tried again after nap and it went a little smoother. If they only could understand that pictures will be on future rehearsal dinner slide shows...maybe they would be more cooperative and smile more often. I hope it gets easier as they get older. I made these hair bows btw, not the dresses though. I'm still working on dresses I started 2 months ago. I'm almost done though, I stitched the last dragonfly today. Hallelujah, I'm going to do something easy next.

Last but not least, Granny and Granddaddy surprised us with a big girl bed tonight. I didn't have any pretty sheets or anything. We'll see how it goes, she sure likes to jump on it though! I'll put more pics up when I get it decorated, I was kind of procrastinating which is why she was still in the crib to begin with.

Growing Girls

Look at our big girls at the park this week! Abby and Reese are actually wearing pants, so I definately thought this was blog worthy. Abby climbs to the top of the jungle gym already at 2.5 yrs old! It's maybe 8 or 9 feet in the air. It makes me a little nervous, but her friend Cole does it too and they seem very comfortable climbing and swinging up there. Reese had her first playtime with her friend Amelia. They had lots of fun sharing toys and exploring each other. They are almost the exact same age and it is so much fun to watch them grow together. I know they will be great friends.

Happy 8 months!!!

Today Reese is 8 months old exactly! She is getting so big, she is crawling faster everyday. Mostly she crawls on her hands and feet, I think cause it's faster. She loves to be held and follows us all over the house from room to room. If she catches us she pulls up on our pants and gets upset if we try to keep going. She sucks her thumb, just like big sis, and doesn't have a single tooth! That's really surprising to me since Abby had 2 at 5 months old. She doesn't have any favorite toys yet, but like toys and really like to nap...like all day. Some days it seems that I really don't get to see her at all! She is super tall, growing out her 12 month pjs already. Thanks God for dresses! I think she weighs about 20 lbs and wears a size 4 diaper already....same size Abby wears too! Wow, how different they are and how creative God is. He never ceases to amaze me. I thank Him daily for my two special girls and pray that they grow up to love Him and know Him.

Mrs. Davey-to-be

Saturday the girls went to play with Grandma Wright, while us big girls partied to celebrate Aunt Ashie's upcoming wedding. It was a lot of fun, a huge success. I really enjoyed spending time with my family, and Ashley's new family!

Check me out!

I just got my new hat! It has Disney Princesses on it! Mommy says I have to wear it if I want to ride. I'm sure I'll get used to it. I was really excited about trying it on...but not so excited about wearing it long term. It was more of a novelty, that wore off quickly! Mommy is glad not to have to worry about me falling anymore. I did put my foot down, I do not want to wear the "arms or legs!" (Elbow/knee pads)

Lucky Girl

So, Kane and I want to the Beth Moore conference this weekend and left Abby and Reese with Mimi. Ms. Dena kidnapped Abby, and made her go to parties. How dare she?! Abby had so, so much fun that she could barely function by the time I picked her up! She didn't want to leave, sad for me, but I'm so glad she had fun. Thanks Ms. Dena for such a fun day!

Purple Panties

Check out my new purple panties! They have Curious George on the front. I am so proud of them I wanted to show them to everyone. Even Reese, I was so excited that I climbed in her crib and hiked up my dress and waved my hinee in her face to make sure she got a good look! I am doing such a good job at using the potty right now. This day I went on the potty and could not wait to tell Annie about it when we met for dinner at the mustard seed. I said "Annie, I do dooed on the potty!!!" She was very impressed and is also doing well in the potty department. It's fun to learn stuff with your friends!

Hoppy Easter!

Hallelujah, Easter's finally over! I think we've all had our sugar fill quota for the whole year! We simply had the best time over at Dena and Annabelle's house. That Granny Nanny sure can cook! I love a Holiday meal that all I have to do it show up and fill my plate. It was a perfect day. We played and visited, after going to church, of course. The service was great, and the music is always awesome. We love taking Ms. Dena with us. Aunt Nana showed up too! What a treat! After lunch we had the egg hunt, it was so much fun. It was hard for the kids to keep going because they wanted to stop and taste everything! What a fun, long day! We're ready for some uneventful times for a while!

Hippity Hoppity, Easter's on it's Way!

We went to the annual Egg Hunt at the McClary's today. It was big, big fun. There were so many fun people there and yummy food. There were hundreds of eggs to find and lots of kids. We were late, of course, but they waited for us to start. When we finally got there we realized that we forgot our basket at home and had to borrow one. It all worked out fine and Abby got plenty of eggs. We have more eggs in our house than we could possibly ever need...and there's still more huntin' to be done tomorrow. It's not even Easter yet! We had a great time today, although it was so very cold we had to have a last minute wardrobe change this morning. That's part of the reason we were late. Those McClarys sure know have to have a great shendig!

Oh My Gosh!!!

So, we were at the park today and Reese (7months) pulled up on me. She had a tissue in one hand and wanted to take a closer look....so she let go of me. She stood there, for like 3 seconds, balancing with no help. I could not believe it. Wow, she's my superstar. I'm impressed if I do say so myself!

Strawberry Pickin'

Today was a very special Spring Day! I went with Sarah, my babysitter, strawberry pickin'! I had so much fun. I met a new friend, Dakota and we had a fun time...until I thought she was being bossy. I said "No tell Abby what to do!" How funny am I! I ate my own weight in Strawberries and came home with the proof all over me...on my face, hands and clothes. I filled up a basket with strawberries with Dakota and then we split the loot. I brought home a big pink sandpail with berries and I couldn't wait to show mommy. I showed Reese as soon as she woke up. Mommy and I took her over to the fridge and I pulled them out to show her! What a fun day it was, we even stopped by the playground on the way home. Thanks Sarah!!!

Eggs, Eggs, Everywhere!

Today was the big playgroup egg hunt at our place. It was the perfect day, warm but not sunny. It was so hard for Abby not to pick up the eggs while we waited for all of her friends to arrive. She may have snuck a little candy from a few beforehand...there were tale tell signs down the front of her dress! Everyone looked so pretty (and handsome!) and we got some great pictures.
There was so much food, I think we all got our lifetime supply of sugar today. Everything was so fun and we were so glad all of our friends could join us. We can't wait til Reese can hunt next year too!

The Last day...sniff,sniff

The last day of the festival we went after church with Ms. Dena and Annabelle. It was so busy. We did our usual lap around the park and then headed to the carnival area to use Annie's leftover tickets. Abby rode the train, for the 3rd time, and Mommy and Abby rode the helicopter together. We could see everything from way up high...it was so much fun. When we had had our fill we grabbed some kiawanis hamburgers to go and headed back to Ms. Dena's house. When we got there, we rode the golf cart all around town. We went to Abby's and then back to Dena's. It's was very fun and a wonderful end to our favorite weekend of the year.
