A whale of a pool!

We got a pool and blew it up today, so now we can retire the baby tub! Hehehe. Abby loves it and went down the slide before it even had water in it. I think it's a hit. She couldn't wait to wake Reeser up from her nap so that she could get in too. I'm not sure how Reeser liked it yet, but the water is cold and Reese prefers to crawl around.

We all Scream for Ice Cream!

Yesterday's Dora episode was about finding Coney Island where the Ice Cream Truck lives, so Dora and Boots could get some ice cream. So, of course, Abby wanted ice cream all day. After supper we went with Granddaddy and Granny (Kane's parents) to Bruster's. Abby got a peach baby cone and Reese got a vanilla one...her first ice cream. Reese finished hers but Abby didn't. It melted and then when daddy got there after work, she wanted his.

Princess Party

Last night, the girls and I went to Baby Ella's first birthday party. She was decked out in her princess gear and got so many pretty things. Abby has always loved baby Ella and we pray for her almost every night, Abby reminds me as part of her stall tactic. Ella is growing so fast, Reese is just behind her! Guess I'd better start planning!!!

They're here!

Reese's two bottom teeth have finally poked through! Miss. English saw them at playgroup last week about to peek out. Last night I finally felt and saw them. It's about time, she will be enjoying chicken nuggets in no time!

Ta Da!!!

They are FINALLY done...the project from "you know where!" It has been so long, I don't know when I started...January maybe. They have been such a frustration, I don't even like them anymore. I will NEVER stitch this dragonfly plate again. Too many color changes. I can't wait to start on something new...a clean slate.

It's time for a pool, I think!

Yesterday, we were playing out side and, after I watered my ferns, I let Abby play with the water hose. She was soaked, so I took off her dress. She tried to take her pull up off too. I said no but she insisted so I told her she could wear a swim diaper. I went to get one and I came back to find her fully naked and playing in the yard! And no, it is not fenced in. Hehehe. We pulled the baby tub out of the garage...it was the best I could do. She had a blast...maybe I will go get that pool this week!

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen things I love about my Hubby

1. He loves Jesus. I am so impressed that he does his quiet time everyday, even if he leaves at 3am to go fishing he gets up 15 minutes early to meet with the Lord. I wish I could say that.
2. He is a great daddy. He laughs and plays and tickles and bathes and reads...he's awesome.
3. He is polite, he holds doors and waits for me when we leave movies.
4. He likes to go to the movies...I LOVE movies and for the most part we like the same movies.
5. He is honest, something that I'm thankful I never have to worry about.
6. He is not tight with money, sometimes cautious, but would never tell me straight out that I could not have something I want. He might hint, so I come to my senses, but is never rude about it. Never complains if I buys lots of clothes for the girls...and he like them to have the good stuff.
7. He is funny, I never had a sense of humor before I met him, its rubbed off on me a little.
8. We never run out of things to talk about, he is a true talker. We've been together since senior year of high school (1996) and he's still talking my ear off.
9. He is a big, strong guy, I always feel safe when I am with him. He watches over me and is defensive of me if someone hurts my feelings or wrongs me.
10. He is thorough, he likes things to be done right. He researches purchases, centers pictures with a measuring tape and level, polishes his toys (boat, guns etc) every time he uses them.
11. Asks my opinion about almost everything...and values it.
12. Takes a stand when necessary. He stands his ground firm and leads our household with admirable authority. He is not a people pleaser.
13. He loves me.

From the Lips of Children...

Psalm 8:2 says "From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger." When Abby was an infant, I loved this verse because she would babble and giggle at night in her crib. I loved to listen to her and imagine her talking and praising God in her own language. Tonight we were playing with a laundry basket and she and Reese were in it and she wanted me to get in too. I told her I was too big to get in and she said "no you not big, daddy's big. You little, come on get in." I thought it was hilarious. Every new thing she says, I just love.

Happy 9 months!

Reese is now officially 9 months old! She is walking with assistance and eating lots of finger foods. She has grown attatched to her hippo and holds on to her dress or pj's like a blankie when she's sucking her thumb. She babbles mamamama and dadadada. She loves to play with her sister and they laugh and squeal. I know they will be such good friends when they are older. She's wearing 12 month size clothes and has outgrown her infant seat. She cries when I put her in it, but I haven't gotten around to ordering her a big one yet. She loves to sleep, as you can see here. She uses her bumpers like pillows and I often find her laying on them. She is crawling faster everyday but hasn't gotten into much trouble. She doesn't get too far because if she's crawling around, she usually stops to play with a basket of toys. She loves to be held but also loves to crawl around, and sometimes she can't make up her mind and want to go back and forth multiple times. She gets up around 9, unless Abby wakes her up to play, and bedtime is at 7:30. She takes two long naps during the day. She is a great baby, and make me want lots more! She's the baby everyone volunteers to babysit. What a joy and blessing from God.

Birthday at the Farm

Today was William's 2nd birthday party at his Grandparents farm. It was so much fun! A great party. It was a beautiful day and all our friends were there. There were bubbles and bubble machines everywhere! Also there was a sand pile to play in and lot's of other things to do. Abby especially liked the bubble mower and riding the golf cart...oh and the cake of course! Reese loved the balls and visiting with her friend Judah. Kane and I liked the food of course!...and visiting with all our friends, what a perfect way to spend a Sunday.

Boating Days

Here is Daddy's new boat, he got it in February. This is the first time we were able to wear bathing suits although the water is still pretty cold. We took Miss. Dena with us for a day of sun and fun. We thought we would be back by naptime-ish...but that didn't happen because we were having way too much fun to go home. We even pulled up to a beach to play for a little while. I think next time we will go to the beach earlier because it was so nice.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

I found one of my baby pics and scanned it because I thought it looked like Reeser. I looked at Kane's pics and he really didn't look like Abby, maybe I need to look at his mother's pics...
