Two-fer Tuesday

Two things about each of us!

1) This is bookwork crunch time for me, yuck. I have w-2's, 1099's, w-3, 940, 941, quarterlies and bills to do....and no energy to do it.

2) Just got back from market with Dena. We had a great time, but it was exhausting. I needed one day to rest and veg before jumping back in. No rest for the mommies!

1) He has turned into a clean freak. Once he joined me in my messiness, now he picks up after all of us and fusses when we make a mess. Go figure.

2) LOVES xbox live now. It hooks into the Internet and he plays with people all over the world. He wears a little headset and talks to them. It's pretty funny to hear him say things every once in a while like "airstrike, airstrike!!!" He uses MOST of his free time playing this and has taken over the tv.

1) Hasn't had to take any benedryl in 5 days for her allergic hives! Praise the Lord, that's awesome.

2) SpongeBob is her new favorite tv show...I can't stand it. She calls it "Bob." as in, "Mommy, I want to watch Bob."

1) Her finicky eating has been super annoying lately. She won't eat much else but raisins. What she does put in her mouth she spits onto the floor...often so Bailey can eat it. Yuck.

2) She has started to try to say some words...so much fun. I am sure only I could understand them but she says: backpack, map and choc choc. She has tried to say Abby, but it's still a far cry.

A Trek

Cole's hair has been growing up, err out I mean. I wonder how long it has to get to lay down? I see a buzz cut in his future!

I just LOVE this coat! I special ordered it from Dena and am glad she can wear it now that it's chilly! It is the same material as her lovie pillow and crib bedding. I just want to eat that face up!

Yesterday we were supposed to have a visit from the Jeffcoats. Abby was devastated when, as we were waiting for them to drive up, they called...from their house. I could not stand her sad face so we jumped in the car and took a drive. It was 1.5 hours one way, but we had sooo much fun seeing our friends! The girls were fine in the car, although the Pocahontas playing on the dvd didn't hurt! It was so cold (40ish) and we bundled up to play outside after the kids were bored of the inside. A good time was had by all. I was glad to see where Sugar lives and make the trip so Abby could see her best bud Cole, they are truly 2 peas in a pod. After all she talks about him everyday!
This picture of Reese I HAD to include! Just look at that belly! I could eat it up. It was full of popcorn, she had 4 helpings to Abby's 1! In the last few days she had started watching tv with us, for short periods of time. It is great to have the whole fam on the couch for wind down time...that's what we do in our bed time routine. Before she just wandered around and got into trouble and it was hard to keep Abby on the couch if Reese was playing. So Reese just ended up going to bed earlier. I love a baby on the couch!

A Poopsident

So, today we went to chick fil a for lunch...again. It was a pleasant time, until I went to take Reese out of the high chair for a diaper change before she hit the playground. Let's just say, she never made it to the playground. It was out of her diaper, on her dress, coat, tights and the high chair itself. Thank God the high chair had wheels and I could roll her straight to the tiny, two stall bathroom. Thank God she was not on the playground yet! Thank God my friend Lynn just happened to be there to help! I had just enough wipes to get the poop up, but not enough for Reese to smell clean. She had to leave, in our 50 degree weather, wearing only a diaper. She went straight into the tub when we got home. Thank God, once again, that they are sleeping...and I can "relax" with a coke and my blogging. When will I figure out that it is sooo much easier to saty home? Oh well, at least it didn't happen on the couch!

Change in the New Year

So we have lived in our house for two years and the only room that has been painted is Reese's room. It is totally uncharacteristic for me not to decorate everything, even before we move the first box in! Coincidintally, Kane and I have been completely ho-hum about this house lately and are already ready to move...AGAIN. So I asked my mom to decorate for me. I have no time whatsoever (or energy) and she loves a project. So when we are done, it will either be very cute and sell easily OR we will love it and stay for a while. Either way, it's a start. Stay tuned for the results and my new bedding, which is on order. My new King sized bed was delivered this morning ( thanks mom!) and I can't wait to get under those covers!!!

Proud in the Potty

The other day I sent Abby to the bathroom. She had been a while, so I went in to check on her. I was greeted with an "I did it Mommy!" "Did what?" I asked her. "I tee-teed just like Cole!" I was a little puzzled, Cole is her best boy friend. I checked out the potty, it had some spray on the seat. Apparently, she had successfully maneuvered peeing standing up. There was none on the floor and none on her clothes...I was impressed, yet I hope she sticks to her own tee-tee style in the future!

Ta Da!

UPDATE: As requested, here is a picture of Abby in the new dress. Also here is Reese in the pants outfit that is a hand-me-down from Abby. I made the dress to match so they would have a matching outfit. The pants outfit I bought when Abby was 1.
I finally assembled the dress I smocked on the cruise. Abby wore it for the first time today. Luckily, it's pretty big so it will fit her next year too. It's time to start on Spring...since it takes me so long!

Our favorite store

I picked Abby up from school yesterday and she was wearing her spare pair of shoes. At first I thought she had had an accident, but her teacher told me the sole had come off of her puddle jumper shoes. Sad, they are so cute and it's not the first pair to do that. The teacher had to tell me that when her shoe broke Abby insisted that she was going to go to the Pink Croccodile to get some new ones. It tickled her teacher, not payless..but the Pink Croccodile. So funny.

Happy New Year from the Cruise Crew

There comes a point when all my pictures are starting to look alike! We spent New Years's Eve with my faithful crew, crashing Claire-y's family shendig. Buffy finally had some long awaited oysters! Kane and I went home at 10pm, but we had a great time munching, chatting, shucking and laughing! It was a little chilly, so I finally got to wear my new sweater! It's growing on me. I am usually not so trendy, but when paired with my new jeans I've been pretty trendy lately!post signature
