Film Review Friday

We went to see Indiana Jones last night. It was...interesting. It had all the great fun of an Indie movie, but with aliens? Why must films always go to the aliens? It was great fun, although the ending was a little hokey. And I love Shia LaBeouf, he was great as usual. I feel like they were setting it up for sequels with Shia. I hope those won't have aliens!

Sniff Sniff

Last week was the last week of school. It's only 3 mornings a week for 3 hours, but those few hours are precious! On Thursday their preschool had an end of the year carnival. It was fantastic; jump castles, food and all their school friends and teachers. Abby's class made these cute shirts with everyone's handprints on them and they all wore them. It was great weather and, as usual, we were the last to leave...we LOVE a party!
IN OTHER SAD NEWS...We have decided (Kane) to abandon Abby's nap finally...I am so sad. When-o-when am I supposed to get stuff done! Abby is not a child who entertains herself at all. She requires and demands undivided attention. But last night she was up til 11pm after only a one hour nap. I see some playdates in the our future...listen for your phone to ring soon!

More Weekend Fun

Two peas in a pod
Here's to your pregnancy rumors! I had a pina colada today! I rarely, rarely drink...but you say pregnancy, I say cheers!

Here are some pics of our weekend fun. We spent Monday all day by the pool and then joined the rest of our friends at a super fun bbq! What more could you ask for! The girls had so much fun and we are still recovering!

Endless Summer...Already!

I am so ready for vacation that I cannot stand myself! We are always moving, and rarely resting. This weekend we had a family reunion, pool fun and Aunt Ginger's birthday! I got to hang at Dena's twice for girlie movies, ones Kane would never watch...what a treat! That is like my second home...the perfect place to escape the laundry pile! There's still lots more fun to be had tomorrow! I love an extra pool day to the weekend!

We got Crashed

Everyone knows that Thursday is datenight, it has been for 8 years now. So what do you do when it clashes with something else? You choose datenight always, unless it's Dena's birthday! I really still considered it datenight, plus a few crashers. I must say I wasn't too excited about the boatride to dinner, but it has been one of my best ideas lately (toot-toot, that's my own horn!) We had the best time, it was absolutlely perfect...almost wish it had been my birthday! If it's any preview of our upcoming cruise...I can't wait!!! Happy birthday Dena.

Busy Weekend

It was such a busy weekend for all of us! Saturday, after the gym, I took the girls to my mom's house to swim. They did really weel and we had a great time. Reese is just fearless and gets in and out of the pool by herself, hence the life jacket. After she went down for a nap I was finally able to relax because Abby does great around the pool. Dena even stopped by for a little sun. It was a great afternoon.
Saturday night was mom's night out. The girls and I tried a new restaurant which was so great and we sat outside. The weather was great. After that we braved bathing suit shopping for our cruise coming up. Even with a full belly, I found three! I was really excited and Kane liked them all.
To get over our bathing suit depression, we went to Oscar's for dessert! We had a great time!
Sunday was my mom's birthday. We went for brunch and took Abby. It was so yummy and we sat outside in the bar area. It had a great atmosphere, I hope to take the girls sometime. Happy Birthday Mimi!!!

Film Review Friday

Does it count as late if I'm still awake from Friday? We went to see "What Happens in Vegas." It was great fun, like an older version of "Just Married," but a lot less vulgar. I do love an Ashton Kutcher! I enjoyed it very much and recommend it for a fun night out!

Thirteen things I LOVE about the Pink Crocodile

1. Dena is there! She is always fun to visit and shop with. Sometimes she helps me wrangle the girls too!

2. Kay, she is the super employee that everyone needs! She does it all and helps keep Dena sane among the chaos.

3. Going to market, hand pick my own clothes and spend the whole weekend shopping and eating with Dena. We had such a good time in January, we didn't even turn the radio on for the whole 5 hour trip.

4. It is so cute, my favorite stuff. I RARELY, to Kane's dismay, leave there empty handed.

5. It is in town square, which is so much closer than her old store.

6. It is in the same store as my mom's store growing up so it is very sentimental to visit.

7. There is stuff for me too, there are still remnants of BIO's cute giftyness. So if I need something, I'm already there.

8. The best invitations around, So cute I always want to have a part. Dena is the best at invites, I usually let her word them and pick the fonts too. She is awesome at that.

9. I can reserve the stuff I want and Kay will call me when it comes in and set aside my sizes! I never miss out.

10. She has birthday gifts of all kinds, and they are ca-ute! I don't have to brave target or wal-mart!

11. Because Dena owns the store, Annie has the best of the best. Can you say hand-me-down!!! Amen.

12. Dena loves it, I really appreciate how much joy and creativity goes into her job. I love that it makes her happy...invitations and kids clothes!!! What!

13. Friends and family night!!! Spinach dip, cookies, coke and wine....and did I mention the discount! We had so much fun, it was a mini girls night out! And shopping without the girls is the bomb. I cane home with two big bags of stuff! Including, 6 pairs of shoes so Dena will stop complaining about the girl's shoes and panty covers for Reese, so Claire will stop makin' fun of Reese's diapers sans cover! I racked up!!!

Mother's Day at Mimi's

On Sunday, my mom cooked a fantabulous meal (I could go for some leftovers right abut now!) and we all went to her house after church. My grandparents were in town and my sister which was fun...and of course Dena came too! What would a family affair be without her! We had a great time, my mom is a fabulous entertainer and has a beautiful home so it is always a fancy treat to dine with her. She even set up a super cute table for Abby and Reese. We had such a great time that we stayed way past naptime, so the girls went to bed at 7 Sunday night...BONUS!!!

On the boat

Saturday we all went on the boat and went to the beach. We got kind of a late start, none of us are early birds, but it worked out and we had loads of fun. Cheetos saved the day for the ride, they kept Reese busy while we were riding. Both girls had loads of fun jumping off the back of the boat into the water. Reese is not afraid of water in the least, it's a little scary actually. We also got her a new life jacket for this summer and she was much happier...we didn't even make it to the harbor last time we attempted to take her. I hope we go again soon! Next time we'll take some beach chairs, better food and leave much earlier.

Mother's Day Tea

At Abby's school today, the mommies came 30 minutes early to school and had a tea party with our wee ones. There were little tables set up with gifts made by the kids, tea, muffins and cookies. They told us Happy Mothers Day and we had treats together. Abby especially liked the "mittens" which were little bowls of butter mints on the table. They sang a few songs that they sing at school which I really enjoyed. She comes home singing sometimes and I don't know what she is singing at all, so I am glad to know the words. It was a special time, I don't get to spend a lot of time with Abby alone, without the crazy Reeser.

Lately Reese is obsessed with animals, especially birds. She says it just like Bambi, "bir-duh!" She points out every bird she sees, loudly, until I acknowledge the bird too. Here, she even was distracted from her fruit snacks to show us...and the girls loves to eat. Check out that tummy!
