potty pooper!

She finally did it after 6 days of potty training. A ring pop was her prize, she's been waiting for that all week. She also told me she had to pee pee before she went this morning. Its looking up finally. I know we still have a long way to go though. It took abby months before she had few accidents. Way to go Reeser!

Potty Trials

I am potty training Reeser right now, its not particularly going well. She is 2.5 years old so I think she capable but she is really being stubborn. We're going on day 4 now and she hasn't told me she needs to go yet. I basically just periodically sit her on the potty until she goes. She has only peed on it and she sits back so it sprays all over the floor. I wish I had kept the little shield that it came with for little boys! It is long gone. I'm going to stick with it through the weekend, but it limits where we can go. I hope she gets the hang of it soon!

I did some fun sewing this week, I'll post some pics later.

Racked UP!

The big sale was this morning and I arrived before the doors were open. There were ten of us outside before we were able to go inside, which is a lot because its a tiny store. By the time I left you couldn't walk inside and getting out of the tight parking lot was definately a challenge with my suburban. I went with a specific list and got everything I wanted, and then some. I ended up with 23 yards of fabric, 5 patterns and some other notions too. It was great fun, I can't wait to get started!

More Boys stuff

Here are my weekend projects. The bubble is Bonnie Blue's Sailor Sunsuit in Fabric Finder's sailboat pique. I was hesitant when making this but it was a lot of fun to make and I really am pleased how it turned out. I'm going to make another one in a different fabric soon. The pants to match are britches and bloomers, one of my fave and easiest patterns.

There is a big sale at my local sewing store this Friday...I am making a list and can't wait! So there will be some fun stuff coming soon. Also, now that it is GORGEOUS outside we'll be doing some fun stuff. So....hopefully there will be more than just sewing here! Spring Blessings to you!

This is Children's Corner "Callie" patter and the applique design is from The fabric is pique fabric finders fabric. I added a lining to the pattern so it wouldn't be see through too. This was so much fun to make! I can't wait for the girls to wear church or something. I mean, they are white! There is a great sale at my local shop this week...I cannot wait. Look for lots more fun Spring soon!

I was on the computer this week when Reese came upstairs and said "look mommy! I a 'be-weena!'" She meant ballerina, of course...and it was so cute! She loves dress up and prissy things even more than Abby, which I didn't think was possible!

I sent Reese to her room at about 4:30 because I was tired of listening to her whine and this is how I found her. It is least until I wake her up for supper!

See ya later Alligator

Here is my latest project,I first made the skirt with a friend on the sewing date. Then I brainstormed about what to put with it because I really liked how it turned out and Abby liked to wear it too. This is what I came up with. It was a pretty quick project. The skirt is Children's Corner "Katie's Skirt" and the top is Children's Corner "Carol" shortened to a shirt length. I also used this pattern here and here. The smocking plate is Laura Jenkins Thompson "See ya Later Alligator."
