Also, when I picked them up from school her teacher told me that when Kane got them dressed for school Friday (I was out of town) he put them in each other's clothes! I had laid out everything...even the bow and socks. They had each others monogram on and abby's pants were short while Reese's pants were long! Haha, I thought that was cute!
***Apparently, when my friend Buffie went to pick them up after school, the teachers had them in hall taking pictures of the mix up! HAHA

I made some hairbows today...our supply had gotten scarce and the girls have been leaving the house with mismatched bows...or NO bows at all! (gasp!) I used this awesome tutorial I made them for about $2 a piece and they would retail for 8-10 I'd guess. I think I could make them cheaper if I didn't pay retail for the supplies. I took about an hour from start to finish.

Here's the nightgowns finally! I forced myself to finish last night just in time for bedtime. They are not my best craftmanship...I was in a hurry. But they are just nightgowns after all! Abby loves hers, it's purple and princess-y...her two favorite things!

I know it's been a while...sorry 'bout that! The truth is that we have been doing a whole lot of nothing! We have been hanging around the house as much as possible. Here are a few pictures of the girls painting with do-a-dot paints that they got for Christmas, they love it and do that everyday at least once. I have not been sewing, except for some monogramming. I monogrammed my whole set of new towels the other day and some of Kane's work shirts. Honestly I think I'm a little burnt out after Christmas! I'm almost done with the girls' nightgowns but they need to be hemmed...maybe I'll get around to that today. Mostly what I have been doing is reading. I am utterly obsessed with the Twilight series and have been reading them with all of my free time...and then some. I've read them all multiple times and seen the movie a few times too. It has really made me aware of my addictive personality! They make my tv shows a bore in comparison. That's all I have been doing but I hope to get back to my sewing soon...my fabric stash is obscene and I have tons of fun projects planned for the girls' spring wardrobe.

We had our party at my mom's a little late because some of us were sick on christmas day. When we felt better it was such a relief to still have some Christmas left! We had a great time, although my tummy still hurt and I really couldn't eat the YUMMY food, I was so sad. The girls got a wonderful playhouse but not until Mimi could give them a talk about sharing...Abby loves that thing so much. i think I could have skipped all my presents and just saved the money! We have had a little trouble with sharing...this morning Abby actually yelled for me to come and get Reese because she wanted some "privacy!" AKA...I don't want to share!

We always have a separate part for Kane's Grandma, this year the girls had a ball! They went over early to help decorate her tree and then played in Grandma's fantastic playroom. She used to have a little daycare/preschool in her garage attic space and it is still filled to the brim with goodies of all kinds. We had a great time and Abby adored the mermaid Barbie from Grandma.

Now that all the gifts have been given out, I can finally show you what I have been up to for many late December nights! I did a lot of sewing...I couldn't finish one project which were night gowns for the girls. I might finish them this week but honestly am a little burnt out!

It's a little late, but I finally got my pictures from the parade off the camera. We had such a great time...it was a beautiful day and we had a great seat! I put my chairs down hours before it started and we hung out with Miss Dena while we waited. We had a picnic for lunch in front of the store and just had a great time! Miss Dena went to the old fashioned drug store and got us all fountain drinks and old fashioned candy! What fun we had.
